Thanks a lot! I always wondered why we never could walk in first person and I really hate it.
You should try using the native SET_PED_MAX_MOVE_BLEND_RATIO.

@troybert To stop the ped from strafing. Setting the max "MOVE_BLEND_RATIO" simply limits the speed that a ped can move (like I believe setting it to 1 would be walking). But I guess what you're doing works too xD
Yeah that's what the mod does, but it uses a slightly different method.
You're right. I almost never use the first person because the damn character does not know how to walk when I am in the first person. Just jog like an idiot. Fantastic mod friend. One must decide whether to run or walk in first person as in first person.

@nomad2001 You do not understand the purpose of this mod at all. I'll try and explain it better, even though the description and video lay it out pretty clear:
This mod changes the default movement while AIMING in first person to walk automatically, and then reverts back to run when not aiming. In your world with the "shift" toggle, the player would have to toggle walk every time they aim there gun if they want to walk, and then toggle it back to run when not aiming. Does that sound ideal to you?
There is a reason in third person you walk while aiming, because it is easier to line up shots. In first person, Rockstar decided to make the player run while aiming, instead of defaulting to walk. Most likely because first person was an afterthought, and they didn't consider all the mechanics to make first person gunplay work smoothly. I on the other hand decided to try and fix the issues with first person, and put it out there for others who actually understand what the mod does (clearly not you).
Furthermore, I find it incredibly ignorant to put .5 out of 5 star review when you clearly have no idea what the mod actually accomplishes.

Actually, that mod doesn't do what this mod does at all. That mod gives you the option to toggle walk/run. This mod automatically switches to walk when aiming, and switch back to run when not aiming.
i can see how this could be useful to some people, i dont know why its at 2.5 stars

@troybert Is there way to have 3th person standard aiming for 1st person via natives and script? To me it's immersion breaker when they move weapon animation on screen to have arcade style weapon always on screen. Weapon could be held on side of body not visible until you aim just like 3th person and it would still function well. When we not aiming why do we have to see the weapon blocking view?
i tried to do it in xmls but, it always broke other stuff, only redneck animations worked for 1st person player character, but then they have that silly weapon placed on front of stomach.
@tall70 You want a Immersive FPS/Enhanced Camera/Joy of Perspective Mod, 3rd person anims with the fps camera inside of char head and a better FoV. I always wanted it too.
