Nice one! Also the midrange interior can be loaded without MP maps using the natives ACTIVATE_INTERIOR_ENTITY_SET and PIN_INTERIOR_IN_MEMORY as it doesn’t use an IPL

@TwoBucks usually im pretty good with figuring this stuff out but I'm clueless on .dll files. I'm pretty sure the mod author is going to have to add it himself if it's something he's interested in fixing. From everything I've seen I need the source code and cracking open the .dll itself didn't give me any obvious places to add the lines to the script. Sorry bud. But for in the future, yeah it's all pretty simple if you're messing with .xml or anything you're able to open with Notepad++. Even .oiv files you can change to .zip and rifle through. It's a huge help when I install something that screws my setup, pretty easy to open up the .xml and see what specific files were changed when you have a heavily modded game.

hello, i have a question. im new to gta modding, how do i enable said mp map? couldnt find tutorials on youtube. thanks in advance

@keegan_ Enable MP maps through a trainer option. For example in simple trainer in the teleports > Other teleports category you can select Enable MP maps. I might however look into making it so it wouldn't require MP maps, but enabling mp maps is simple

@twonumber9s okay. i def mod heavy lol. guess i need to figure out how to make oiv zips. those files scare the ish out of me lol.ive learned alot about modding, modding this game. i find this one more on the tedious and complicated side compared to most. so many files and folders its insane. so much more than any other game. thanks

@TwoBucks for sure man. I find the best setup for diagnosing is two folders, one for base game files and one for your mods folder files. Everything outside an .rpf file can just be renamed with an _ in the name to disable it (_mods, _x64, etc). As long as base game hasn't been tampered with it'll just pull the OG files on boot. I keep trying to load the game till it lets me in, if its site specific I drive to wherever the problem occurs and see if it repeats. Once you eliminate everything else you can crack open the update.rpf which is probably where the problem is if nothing else worked. You'll have to drag your base game version of those files inside the .rpf to that empty base folder you created and your modded copy to the other, start replacing a folder at a time and running the game until you nail down the file(s) and there you go. Been able to reverse every crash that way. Underscore method works the same with the script folder. And yeah you can eliminate that fear of .oiv with just renaming it to a .zip file. The .xml inside you can open up with your browser and read where all it installs files to, then just go find the same files in your base game folder and drag em to an empty folder, then replace the same files in your mods folder with em.

@TwoBucks @twonumber9s There is no definitive "fix" for MP Maps CTD. Only thing you can temporary do is disabling 80-90% of your dlcpacks, especially the ones have ymaps in them.
It is not an ideal way even as a workaround but that's the only known way so far.
I believe the other way would be pulling the interiors from mp maps and making them as a custom dlcpack. I know 5Real did this with Cayo Perico, when I travel there with TrainerV it activates without enabling MP Maps.
There is also a mod called InteriorsV, which opens a lot of interiors including Online Apartments without enabling the MP Maps. However in some of the Apartment interiors my game gets stuck in blackscreen in the transition. I wish it could have been made without a transition type loading screen similar to Vangelico, but probably not too good idea performance wise either...
Anyhow, give it a go, it might work more stable in your perhaps.25 octobre 2024 -
@MissySnowie wow. atleast you gave me options. one thing i never understood about gta modders. they abandon their mods more than any other game ive ever seen. i guess who wants to keep updating after a decade but their mods are so VITAL. or why no one ever remakes them? falout modders dont mess around lol

@jaydenwasd
i found it in trainer. it still ctd. are you using the older simple trainer or the enhanced? idk if it even matters26 octobre 2024 -
@TwoBucks True 🥺 wish they would continue to update or wish rockstar updates wouldn't break the old mods 🥺🥺 but yeah, some people just retire from modding and move on 🙂🙂
For that other question of yours by the by, it doesn't matter which way you enable MP Maps. If it's crashing with a trainer, it will crash with everything else too, including script enablers 😥
