No more ragdolls after a crash ! Don't get out of your car anymore !
This mod "seat belt" makes impossible a ragdoll after a crash in car, bikes, planes... you name it. Enjoy !
Installation instructions :
- Install ScriptHookV and GTALua.
- Place the folder "seatbelt_mod_sd" in your Grand Theft Auto V/GTALua/addons directory.
- Launch GTAV and enjoy !
How to use :
Press F9 to toggle the mod (you can edit the top of the main.lua file to change this key).

- Seat belt always off : pretty self explanatory too
- Seat belt automatic : your seat belt is fasten automatically after a short moment waiting in your vehicule before going. Typically when your character put his helmet on, you're safe ! Therefore, a notification will pop each time the seatbelt is fasten is this mode (you can disable this editing the top of the main.lua file).
Changelog :

Set activated = true by default. Always turned on without any toggling keys.

Great mod, having a blast with it. Sometimes though it stops working. I then have to use F9 again until I get the mode "always on" to work again. After some time the F9 key stops responding and I have to restart the whole game in order to get it to work again. Saw someone above having the same problem. Hopefully easy to fix.
@Freaky The exact same thing happens with the other LUA plugin, but when it does load I'm able to Alt-Tab out and then maximize full screen again. Just not the case with GTALua. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit if that helps.
i have put the files in the correct location but cannot get it to work..

How can I make it so that the Automatic seatbelt mode is on when the game starts?
@stillhere Open main.lua with a text editor and set "activated" and "activatedOnCurrentVehicle" to true instead of false.
@sd65 Can you create a version that does not use GTALua. Maybe ScriptHookV or ScriptHookV + ScriptHookV Dot Net. Or just the normal LUA plugin for GTA V. Anything but GTALua.
this is like the only Lua mod I know of that even uses GTALua instead of LUA.asi, and it doesn't even seem to work. I cannot run GTA5 with both Lua-scripthooks installed, it always seems to crash to desktop on startup. So its either GTALua with this broken mod, or LUA.asi with every other lua mod out there...]
I really wish this would work btw. I love the seatbelt mod in GTA4; it was included on the native trainer

@R3QQ Having the exact same problem as you. Seems to work great upon startup, functions correctly and displays current settings when I push F9, after < 30 mins or so it stops showing anything when I push f9 and I can be ejected.
Can you remove seatbelt on bike? and only on car?
Can you please make better involuntary ejections, like in gta 4, so NPCs will fly out trough the windshields more. Thanks.
Not work anymore...
It worked but the most recent patch yesterday broke it. It crashes the game every time I hit someone fast enough for this to trigger.
Can you please update this some how and fix it?
Nevermind my earlier post, I got it working again. But this stops working when we reload a game, Can we some how get a fix on that?

@llLyn I figured it out. This mod and the requirement GTALUA are both depreciated, have not been updated since 2015, anre are highly unstable and cause crashes with current versions of the game. Both should be completely avoided for stability. The popular newer trainer (ENT) Enhanced Native Trainer has a seatbelt mod built in, and by using this we do not have to use old GTALUA anymore. This is infinitely more stable. That's why I down rated this mod to half star because it's old and unusable today. Besides that the ENT seatbelt is automatic and applies automatically every time the game is started. This mod here we have to manually activate with F9 every time we start the game which is clumsy and annoying in comparison.
By the way, DON'T visit gtalua.com anymore! It redirects to a scam website. Stay away.
