In lieu of a clean way to remove in-game traffic without needing to modify game assets using OpenIV, I created a simple script which deletes any traffic within a healthy radius around the player. Additionally, I added an "anti-ejection" system which will automatically place the player back into his/her vehicle if ejected from it (this includes bikes).
The No-Traffic system will not delete any vehicle the player has entered. It can also be configured to not delete any parked vehicles, (by default parked vehicles are deleted, this can be configured in the provided INI file).
Controls - (Reconfigurable using INI file)
T - Toggle No-Traffic
Y - Toggle Anti-Eject
Known Issues
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Make sure you have both the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 and the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package (x64) installed.
2. Download and install Script Hook V (including the ASI loader). You may download it from http://gtaforums.com/topic/788343-vrel-script-hook-v/
3. Download Script Hook V .NET 0.9 and copy the ASI into your game folder.
4. Extract the provided GTA5-NoTraffic-AntiEject.dll to /Grand Theft Auto V/scripts/
5. Place the provided GTA5-NoTraffic-AntiEject.ini in /Grand Theft Auto V/ and configure as desired.
The No-Traffic system will not delete any vehicle the player has entered. It can also be configured to not delete any parked vehicles, (by default parked vehicles are deleted, this can be configured in the provided INI file).
Controls - (Reconfigurable using INI file)
T - Toggle No-Traffic
Y - Toggle Anti-Eject
Known Issues
- You need to disable Anti-Ejection if it is enabled before leaving a vehicle, or it will place you back inside.
- Driving quickly enough into oncoming traffic (over 400mph using other mods for example) can sometimes result in collisions because of how long it takes to delete vehicles.

Optional open/close is excellent thank you ! :)
@PapiDimmi Hey thanks PapiDimmi. I love the seatbelt / anti-eject built in to the most recent native trainer. It makes mine obsolete!
The reason I advertised no RPF edit required isn't because modifying game files is difficult. It is because I wanted to illustrate that you do not need to exit the game and modify files anytime you want to simply toggle traffic on or off.
The mod doesn't work for me, I've done what it says and it doesn't seem to work.
Great mod! Love it! Only on question, when the police are on persuit chasing after you, is it normal for parked up police cars and vans to not disapear?
Does it have to be in a scripts folder?
@Vilavek amezing mod!! but i have one question, is it possible to make the range larger? because i realy need it for a mod! and i cant find nothing on the internet. except for a complete removal of the cars. and i want something that you can turn on or off. i mean the range to remove the cars!! :P
This is great! I've been searching for something just like this for video editing purposes, and I really didn't want to edit the RPF. Thanks, and keep up the good work. :)
Do you think you could add an additional function to remove peds as well?
Installed it doesn't works like thousands of other mods, is there a way to resolve ?
@gatecrash360 You can just make one if you already have all the mods
The Mod isn't working for me. I Have installed the ScriptHookVDotNet ini / asi file , and the no traffic.dll file is in the script folder. The GTA5-NoTraffic-AntiEject.ini file is in my GTA5 folder. I don't know where the Problem is
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 and the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package (x64) are installed.
ScriptHookV and the ASI loader are installed aswell.
@Vilavek I cant install you can help me Team wiever ?
@Vilavek even not working for me too... have many scripts working fine... but this one doesnt give a sign.. i bashed t and y.. nothing happens.
Doesn't work, no matter how much you mash T & Y cars still spawn, and it's impossible to drift down a mountain when there's a car on every corner. Fix it, OP.
@PapiDimmi
"FYI, there's already a "no traffic" mod: https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/no-traffic"
FYI this "mod" does not work.
@StronkSerb you did something wrong. It's working.
good work, great mod! But is there any chance you can edit this so that we have an unhealthy spawn radius? Like, 13 fold of what it you've already created? haha I mean, I can still see cars driving around in the distance and it's annoying.
Great mod. I only wish it would remove the cars way way out there in front of me, ideally - so that I never see them at all.
does this delete peds too?
Thank you for a wonderful mod!!! This makes driving fast cars a LOT more fun! Thanks again!!!
Thx you
