This mod will update the handling of these planes:
- Besra
- Cargoplane
- Cropduster
- Cuban 800
- Dodo
- Hydra
- Jet
- Lazer
- Luxor
- Mallard
- Mammatus
- Miljet
- Shamal

- Vestra
The changes are:
- Final speed changed
- Acceleration changed
- Stall and takeoff speed changed
- Roll, pitch and yaw changed
- Real weight applied
- Turbulence reduced
and others...
All these configurations was intended to be as real as possible. Each plane was configured and tested several times until it behave as close as possible to its original version.
No effective method was used to test the vehicles, just ingame tests.

Please add killatomato's realistic driving support, I don't wanna chosing between these two great mods.
@satyr - Seconded mate, although it looks easy enough to do yourself - just cut & paste all the entries from this mod onto the end of KT's, and delete any duplicates (although i don't think there are any planes in KT's handling file?).. whatever entries are included in mods/update.rpf/common/data/handling.meta should automatically supercede any vanilla duplicates elsewhere. Haven't tested this but pretty sure that's how things work..
@MrVibrating there must be a planes mete. But thanks, will wait till killa update his mod for new vehicles and then start overwriting.
@satyr You can merge the two mods. As @MrVibrating said, just copy the entries in your current update.rpf/common/data/handling.meta file and delete any duplicates.
@DataModderProgrammer Finally someone made it.
So I have a few questions.
-Does this make it hard to land? When Realistic Driving had it, it was impossible to land as I had no flap control.
-How fast do the Civilian jets go, and how fast do the military jets go? I understand that theres a speed limit cap at 357 mph, but you can use Sonic Boom to make jets go much faster (912 mph).
-What is the situation with turbulence. Practically every plane handling mod removes it completely, which is unrealistic. I believe that it should be cut in half.
@nkjellman Let's try to answer your questions.
- It is not hard to land. You have the total flap control, it means the plane will always decrease its speed if you want.
- This mod don't take into account the sonic bloom (perhaps in some newer version will consider it). Up to now is unknown what is the maximum speed the planes can take if the sonic bloom were used.
- The turbulence was reduced as in every mod. The jets and big planes have it removed completely, but the small planes has some slight turbulence.
Have you consulted or referenced Killatomate for his values for the Realistic Driving and Flying 1.2 data? His handling lines for the prop planes were nigh perfect, but he unfortunately removed that from his mod in later iterations.
@Crimson_Bullet84 I have referenced the values for the propelled planes. In these mod these values were used or improved.

the game crashes
@menon Try to check if in handling.meta have some duplicate
some of them were missing like when i search for hydra in notepad
it said hydra not found name
i tried other ways but didnt work

I cant do the Step 2 - Add
On "handling.meta", just add the following data on the end of the file
before "</HandlingData>".
does not work, the hydra still flies at 160 mph

After .meta modification GTA 5 steam edition exits at startup before fully loaded.
I dont know why after install this mod when i drive plane , the nose of plane go up . Cant drive upright.
Hey, does this work with realistic driving V?
It's almost perfect except:
- elevator/pitch sensitivity is still very high, as well as the stabilizing (I'd make the stabilising from 1/4 to 1/10 of the pitch multiplier)
- aileron/roll sensitivity is a bit high, but it's ok
- some planes can't take off from any runway because takeoff distance is too realistic :P I would take that into account too
But I was able to use this as a start and make it better, thanks for the mod ♥
