This handling.meta mod is designed to make the handling of the Kuruma much more lifelike in terms to it's real-life counterpart, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
For realism, I have increased the top speed to 180mph matched with the Lancer Evo x instead of the in-game speed of 90mph (although the in-game browser said 147mph). I turned it into a true AWD vehicle instead of the normal 4WD version. With this, I increased the traction, and allowed the car to turn slightly more sharply with less slip, so you don't spin out, however when used correctly can provide a fun drifting experience. The brake force has also been increased for relatively more realistic braking speeds.
The gearing has also been reworked and should now have shifting times that reflect the stock version of the Evo X.
##NOTE: Upgrading is best! You will see the differences in upgrading the car as well. This is hopefully the final version.
#CHANGELOG:
v1.1: I fixed the shifting. It now shifts faster and raised engine power. Increased brake force yet again for shorter stops. Drive inertia has been marginally increased for a faster take-ff. Reduced wheelspin from the AWD. Made slight adjustments to stiffen the suspension slightly.
v1.2d: Acceleration was too brutal, tuned it down a notch. Turning is only slightly more brisk and suspension has also been tweaked to be just a tiny bit more stiff. Noticed several changes in upgrading.
v1.2e: Original file backup added

Fixed most major issues. Please let me know if you think anything needs adjusting. Thanks for downloading guys, and please check out that awesome Evo X textures mod created by Cri-28. Link in the description.
Very nice! I really enjoyed your Vacca handling mod.
@fat_dabs710 Thank you! I'll be doing the armored kuruma next, so watch out for that one! :) I'll also be doing a pack after that. I'm happy you enjoy it!
dam! thats fast! good mod dude
@beyond galaxy Thanks Beyond! Haha, yeah I said I was going to work on it as fast as I could.
I was wondering why the Vacca mod tells me to replace the handling.dat in the 'GTA 5\update\update.rpf\common\data' path, while this Kuruma mod is telling me to use the file in the 'GTA 5\update\x64\common\data\mpheist\dlc.rpf\common\data' path. Does it not matter?
@fat_dabs710 It does, actually. The Kuruma is a Heist vehicle, and the Heist vehicle handling.meta is in a completely different place. Rockstar put it in it's own separate file in the MPHEIST update location (where everything else related to that DLC is), instead of editing the current and just adding cars. Less code is my guess.
If you look at both handling.meta files they are a completely different list of vehicles.
Also, look out for my Armored Kuruma Handling Mod soon!
Okay, because both handling files have lines for the Kuruma, but I couldn't get the mod to work despite replacing the file in the MPHEIST location. My Vacca handling still works though.
@fat_dabs710 That's strange. Seems to be working for everyone else. If you want you can add me on Steam and I'll help you work it out.
I'll try again later and will add you if all else fails. I appreciate your help thus far!
@Matthew I already have very complexed modified handling with various and multiple inputs for different vehicles (stunt, drift, fright train, bmx etc) but I wanted to try your handling and I can tell you that I had very smooth ride. Good job.
@kizacudo Thank you! I'm glad you like it. I put a couple of hours of research into each (Videos of takeoffs, shifting, etc., wikipedia and car facts) to make sure I get it correctly. By the end of the week I'm hoping to have 10 cars done. By mid July I plan to have them all done. I'll be releasing a mod pack soon so people can install them all at once as well.
@fat_dabs710 Did you get it?
No.
@Matthew I am using now 3 x Damage. Think of variations. Give the options.
@kizacudo Was talking to a friend about that, that's what I'm going to do. :)
Kuruma have fast acceleration, can you make this so slow, like you "Comet Handling Mod" ?
can you reduce the wheel spin .. and increase the handling because its hard to go left/right when the car speed is about 140+... BTW nice mod :)
are this good thing change the sound into real evo x
works good, i like it
