It shouldn't affect acceleration too noticeably with most maps - mostly the lower torque at near-idle revs is noticeable and maybe a 0.2~0.3 seconds loss on acceleration.
If you're using an automatic transmission it's very likely you won't notice a lot.
Functionality can be verified with Manual Transmission's debug options, where power to the wheels increase/decrease with RPM (stock is linear, see the readme for more context).
I haven't been able to reproduce any jitter, so I'll stop looking into this. (I don't use Menyoo)

Try making the folder not read-only.
Re-read the installation instructions and try again. It's missing the GlowingBrakes folder inside the scripts folder.
* List and sort spawn list by manufacturer before model
* Load images on start instead of on selection
Use 1.4.5 if that's not wanted.
Script menu -> Controls -> Steering assists -> Set "Steering mode" to "Default".
Is that a new recording or old recording? Recordings made with versions before 1.3.0 have some jitter.
Checked the readme? It's automatically active if the vehicle model is found. Use the `ctm` cheat - if it shows the correct map name and not Default, and the graph is not a straight line (1.0 all the way), it should just be active.
