IMPORTANT!!! He replaced the vintage pistol but it is not possible to change the vintage pistol sound without replacing other sounds. So I did this sound mod for the combat pistol. You need to rename jedijosh920's Ray Gun from w_pi_vintage_pistol_hi.ydr to w_pi_combatpistol_hi.ydr!!
Put 0x1E5A3AED.wav in weapons.awc in mods/x64/audio/sfx/RESIDENT.rpf
Put ptl_combat.awc in mods/x64/audio/sfx/WEAPONS_PLAYER.rpf
Oh and jedijosh's description says put the gun in patchday3ng, you need to put it in patchday8ng!!

I made this account just to ask someone if there was possibly a mod that makes all gun sounds into silly sounds. I love playing this game series but after something happened, I have PTSD flashbacks triggered by the very realistic gunshot sounds. Or if you could make one and I'd pay for it.
@Xochtli what is pti flashbacks it sounds like something weirdly scary?
@Sheldon I cannot put the 0x1E5A3AED file in the weapons.awc your tutorial does not help me and on the net the imports are already in oac format or with the same name of the file to replace but yours there is no nothing to replace when I import the oac into open iv it does not appear in the list and I am in edit mode I know that your mod is dated but I would like to have it fully functional
