I do not know if this will help anyone but my game kept crashing when i tried to load into the game, kept getting err_fil_common error. So i removed the cars that was resposible for the crash and opened content.xml and setup2.xml. Usually there are a couple of filename path that looked like this <filename>dlc_golf8r:/data/vehicles.meta</filename>. but the xml files inside the car mod responsible for the crash had a missing dlc_ infront of the car folder name, so i added dlc_ to all the filenames, and the crashes were gone, i'm using the gameconfig from NVE. i hope this helps.

Why is the global.gxt2 file size shorter than the original? Seems like the original file have more lines than the file included in your mod.
