@rodo You extract these files to any folder you like(using OpenIV or whatever), and select that folder in GIMS.
For now, GIMS works poorly on MAX 2017, and don't work at all on 2018.
BUT I've installed these versions yesterday, so they will be supported eventually.
For now, I don't recommend using GIMS in MAX 2017 or 2018.
@GTAFREAk67S You can't do that, because there's no reason for such thing to be done.
@Ferret_3 If you're using 3D MAX 2017, don't use it. It's shit for GIMS.
@GTA-Elit Try to use manual install version, link's at gtaforums.
@Gta5KoRn Changelog's shown in the update window when there's a new one. Also, it can be seen by pressing (i) button in the bottom right corner of the GIMS window, or under About button in GIMS utility.

@wlupoli because 2017's bugged, and GIMS isn't compatible with it.
