You are a god!! It's freaking hell trying to land a plane in first person without an Altimeter. Thanks alot!
Are there some GTAV steam users here that are as annoyed as I am about unannounced manadatory updates messing your mods up? If you are, I've opened a thread protesting this on Valve's forum and I sure could use your support (in the form of going and posting) something): http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/0/494632506569711119/
I'm asking to ban mandatory updates.
Hey there, great mod!
I have a bug I'd like to report though:
In my game (retail version 1.0.350) the speedometer behaves strangely. If you set the speed to anything other than Mach, the speed shows either a blank value or 0.0. In that case, the speed gauge on the right works as expected. But, if set to mach, the right gauge is always at 0 and the left side shows mach speed.
I don't know why this happens, but thought I'd let you know.
P.S. If it's relevant, LeFix's speedometer crashes in planes. I think that the same issue is in there. LeFix's speedometer works fine for cars, etc., but the speed gauge on the left on this mod doesn't at all unless it's Mach.
@XMOD also, I think it'll help to let users know that the / and * are for numpad only. It took a lot of hair-pulling and a bit of dumb luck for me to come across that!
Looks terrific. I´m struggling with using the XMOD menu. I can bring it up with " / " but not change line or access menu points. I think the mod is correctly installed, as it says:
FSpeedometer SETUP
Vertical speed
Altitude
Compass
HUD
By XMOD (v.2.1.1)
in the menu. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance - it looks awesome!
@XMOD Nice Work dude. :)
Sorry - got previous problem working. If I use numpad keys there are no problems. Another issue: Your height measurement does not seem to work properly. E.g. if vspeed shows 55 m/s during a free fall, the height measurement, does not decrease with 55 meters per second. It falls about 3 times to slow. Also tested on the Maze bank, that should be around 310 meters high, it shows about 100 meters of altitude on the measurement in the mod. LOVE the mod though. It´s just what I need.
Dont work on the new update ;((( best mod for me please update
@XMOD Could you make the experimental HUD only show up in planes? Or at least toggleable with 1/2/3/4 like the other instruments? Also put the measurement unit next to the red line.
Hi @XMOD , very good mod, thanks for provide~ But there's a very big mistake about Altitude in this mod.
the number of altitude is wrong, I test many place, and even import game model in the 3dsmax. the height of highest mountain in game is around 800m, but the speedermeter only show 245 meter.
Can you please kindly fix this problem?
Sorry for maybe talking bullshit...I started playing GTA V just 2 weeks ago (:
But: either the speedometer is not properly "calibrated" or the ratio of all units in general was programmed wrong by Rockstar. Already the first picture shows that the speed of this jet is allegedly only 236 km/h, which is the max speed - as I´ve tested myself - and that´s simply not true. The same with the cars: the bugatti chiron makes without any tuning only ~ 240 km/h on the long road (Los Santos Freeway to Senora Freeway) - at night, only very low traffic - which is much to low but by the way even more than this military jet!? In reality I drive a BMW 760i which is not comparable at all to the Chiron but even my car reaches a higher speed on a distance of ~5 km.
But as I said, I´m still a GTA-noob and possibly I take these trivialities to serious (:
Generally I like this digital speedometer very much...
I believe the altitude is in meters even though it says feet. I flew the Buzzard to the top of Mt. Chiliad. Flight Speedometer 2.2 shows 800 ft. but the altimeter in the Buzzard shows a little over 2,600 feet. In reality, 800 meters = 2624.67 feet, so pretty darn close.
Nice !!
@XMOD
Please, how to modify? Change ft. for meters with same number. Thanks
Hi there is there any way of getting it to wrok with Fivem?
Very useful. It works very good with WoV and many other mods still in this 2019. It is almost faultless. Thanks to the developer, even almost four years after its first release. :D
@XMOD how do I make this not show when a grond vehicle goes airborne?
@XMOD "How do I make this not show when a ground vehicle goes airborne?"
Still seeking a solution.
Is there a way to get this to work with VMenu?
I know this is an old mod, but does anyone know if you can place an angle of attack display as well? So we can know how steep the plane is (incline with respect to the horizontal plane) to prevent stalls?
